Well, I did it! I honestly had my doubts about wearing at least one thing I made every day, let alone remembering to post a photo each day! For those of you just tuning in, I participated in #MeMadeMay17, a fun non-competitive challenge over on Instagram for participants to wear one thing made by them each day in the month of May. I blogged about the history of that annual challenge- click here to open a new tab and read about it!
Day 31....And that's a wrap!
I had just a couple of repeats- the velvet patched denim, the grey shift dress, and the grey tee with elbow patches are definitely items I wear frequently. (Plus the cropped denim, shown on Day 31, but it's a thrifted upcycle so isn't completely "me made.")
Overall this challenge was a really fun way to get to wear so many more of the garments I make (Can you imagine, I make things and then never wear them?! I know, it's ridiculous.)
I am honestly anxious to get back to wearing whatever I want! I tend to get really self-conscious whenever I wear any of my designs- which is pretty often, so this challenge really helped me to get more comfortable with that!
All in all, I thought this was a really good challenge for myself- I stuck with it for all 31 days! (I'm the type to buy a gym membership in January and then forget about pursuing my fitness goals a week later, so completing this 1 month challenge was a big deal for me!)
Speaking of fitness and goals and such, I'm taking the month of June to focus on shaping up for summer, and along with that I'd love to curate my athletic clothes and swimwear! (Although the only swimwear I can guarantee is that of two amazing clients.)
Happy Wednesday! XO,
